10 Amazing Horror Movies You'll Never Watch Again

5. Color Out Of Space

It’s disturbing, it’s psychedelic, it has Nic Cage front and centre - no I’m not talking about my ideal birthday party, I’m talking about 2019’s Color Out Of Space (though seriously Nic Cage, hit me up).

This is another one of those ‘crazy’ films that is really well made and quite an enjoyable experience, but one you don’t necessarily ever want to do again. Once you’ve endured seeing a mother and son fused together into a fleshy, monstrous mess that later gets executed by a crying Nic Cage then no man can force you to do it again.

In terms of visuals alone it’s one of the rare horrors to go for all bright, happy colours. All the flowers and lush green grass in the world can’t mask the darkness that brews though, and before long the film descends into madness. It’s a good madness though, a measured and effective madness that ensures you enjoy the ride without being thrown off.

Truly though once the end credits roll, you’ll probably just be glad of the thought that you never have to look at the mother/son monster again, and nobody can blame you for that.
