10 AMAZING Trailers That Sold Bad Movies

The 2016 superhero film which pitted hero against... well another hero. Dark and dismal though the trailer may be it sets up a film which is the ultimate battle between DC's two major players; Batman and Superman.

The trailer hints at comedic moments mainly coming from Jesse Eisenberg's deranged Lex Luthor, which fans of the DCU know are few and far between particularly in Gotham. Pitching an epic battle not only between our heroes but in their own morality. On top of this the trailer introduces our first look at Wonder Woman, arguably she is one of the only good part about the finished film.

This superhero romp ended up being a dark and dismal 3 hour long dick swinging competition which director Zack Snyder attempted to add some intrigue into by throwing a monster into the mix. Some complaints even hit out at the CGI being too heavy handed and almost unwatchable.

This could have been the beginning of the end for the DCU if Wonder Woman (2017) hadn't been such a hit.
