10 Amazing Villains Wasted In Terrible Superhero Movies

3. Doctor Doom - Fant4stic

Venom 2 Carnage
20th Century Fox

There are three adaptations of Doctor Doom thus far, and frankly I could have picked any of them. But at least the previous two got the look down. No, my choice for wasting the best villain in comic book history can only go to everyone's favorite punching bag, Fant4stic.

What this movie did with Doctor Doom is really the epitome of everything wrong with Fant4stic as a whole. It has basically zero respect for the property as a concept, yet has nothing to actually add to replace what they cut out.

So instead of a man who grafts a metal mask to himself and becomes an all powerful tech wizard, we have a guy who looks like he wrapped himself in tin foil, got some green paint on him afterward, and then started killing people for basically no reason. He is then swiftly killed off, as if the film itself is rightly embarrassed with what it did to Victor Von Doom.

What an absolute waste of a brilliant character and villain, and the fact that this is the third time such a screw up has happened is staggering.
