One of the most outrageous animated films ever made, Matt Stone and Trey Parker pulled out all the stops for their ludicrously entertaining South Park movie, best known for its outrageous musical numbers (one of which, Blame Canada, even received an Oscar nomination), its hilarious skewering of the MPAA, and the plot revolving around Satan and Saddam Hussein being gay lovers. It was everything a South Park needed to be: it pushed the offensiveness and hilarity buttons in equal measure. The movie was a critical hit and made its budget back almost four-fold at the box office, a considerable achievement for an R-rated animated film. The idea of a sequel has been floated around over the years, though in 2011, it was said that, "the first South Park movie was so potent, we're all still recovering from the blow. Unfortunately, at the current moment, there are no plans for a second South Park movie. But you never know what the future may bring, crazier things have happened." Previously, Stone and Parker suggested they'd probably release another movie as a bookend to the series, so we may be waiting a while...
