10 Announced Horror Movies That Will Never Be Released
1. The Unknown
And finally, who among us can forget the infamous Willy's Chocolate Experience - a live entertainment event based on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which took place in Glasgow in early 2024?
The event made global headlines for its atrocious production values, with many comparing it to the Fyre Festival.
One of its more meme-worthy elements was The Unknown - an antagonist who is referred to as "an evil chocolate maker who lives in the walls," yet was nothing more than a 16-year-old actress wearing a silver mask and black cloak who hides behind a mirror.
Because the Internet's sense of irony knows no bounds, The Unknown quickly developed a fan art following, and soon enough Scottish production company Kaledonia Pictures announced that a horror film featuring the character was in the works.
Kaledonia initially stated that the film was intended to release by the end of 2024, but almost a year later we've heard absolutely nothing.
Considering that Kaledonia is a company with a whopping 25 Twitter followers and no prior movies to their name, it all sounds like a failed attempt to cash-in on a trend.
Given that the world has long since moved on from Willy's Chocolate Experience and everything involved with it, there's just no way this one is still happening.
