1. Rachel Dawes (Katie Holmes) - Batman Begins
When it comes to the likes of Batman Begins, the first chapter in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy, Katie Holmes is the obvious weak link in a movie that is otherwise immaculately cast; Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson... these actors take on iconic roles and enhance them to new levels. Holmes, on the other hand, proves only to be grating in each and every one of her scenes - there's no chemistry between Bale and the actress, and she sticks out like a sore thumb as an inhabitant of Gotham. But the worst - and most annoying - thing about Rachel Dawes as a character is that she seems to only exist to deliver the majority of Christopher Nolan's long, over-written and horribly self-righteous speeches whenever she turns up. Were we supposed to want Bruce to get with this person? Can you imagine how bad she'd end up making him feel all the time if they hooked up, delivering those endless monologues about justice and right and wrong whilst he's brushing his teeth? "It's not how you brush your teeth, Bruce, but how long that defines you." Like this article? Agree of disagree with our picks? Let us know in the comments section below.
