10 Anticipated 2016 Movies That Have Already Lost The Oscar Race

The Buzz: Oscar nominee Rob Reiner (A Few Good Men) directs two-time acting nominee Woody Harrelson as President Lyndon B. Johnson struggling to cope with his unexpected presidency following JFK's 1963 assassination. The supporting cast also includes fellow nominees Jennifer Jason Leigh and Richard Jenkins.

Why It's Already Lost: While more polite critics called LBJ "conventional", IndieWire went straight for the jugular, saying, "Woody Harrelson's hammy performance almost makes this biopic worth endorsing."

Reviews are firmly mixed so far, and it sure as hell doesn't help that Jay Roach's highly acclaimed Bryan Cranston-starring Johnson biopic from earlier in the year, All the Way, basically stole all of its thunder.

Expect this one to quietly disappear and end up on VOD some time next year.
