10 Army Of The Dead Easter Eggs You Totally Missed

1. The Snyder Cut

Army of the Dead has various callbacks to Snyder's films so it would be remiss not to add any acknowledgment to his most prolific work in the DCEU and his films in general. The Snyder Cut of the 2017 Justice League is one of modern-day cinema's great redemption stories and is a (both promising and worrying) sign of how fans can influence cinema as a whole.

During Army of the Dead's filming, the Snyder Cut seemed like a near-mythical film that would never leave Warner Bros' vaults and see the lights of day. Snyder cheekily references this in an imaginary sequence during the group's mission briefing, which has canisters very reminiscent of those used to store film reels.

However, it is revealed that the actual vault does not contain the canisters as earlier imagined. This revelation takes a whole new meaning in light of the release of the long-awaited film, as this was considered highly unlikely, especially in mid-2019.
