10 Army Of The Dead Easter Eggs You Totally Missed

6. Olympus Casino

Given that the primary antagonist is named Zeus, it is only fitting that a large section of the film takes place in Las Vegas' Olympus Casino. In addition to being a nice mythological gag, it serves a narrative purpose as Sanada's 200 million dollars is locked in a vault atop the casino.

Snyder's films are heavily inspired by Greek mythology and his visual imagery (specifically the way he films the human body to show it off at its most imposing/statuesque) is possibly taken from the ancient culture's sculptural depictions of deities and other larger than life figures. This may also paint the film's zombies as something else entirely, due to their enhanced physicality and seeming existence of a social structure.

It is also interesting to note that the Olympus casino does not exist in the real world and it was created so as to avoid conflicts with real-life casinos. This had the added benefit of giving Snyder and his team freedom while crafting the story.
