10 Avengers: Age Of Ultron Surprises That Could Happen

3. The Vision And The Human Torch

The Vision is one of our favorite Avengers, and we cannot wait to see Paul Bettany bring him to life in Age of Ultron. But so far, details are very sparse on the character€™s role in the film. Bettany has been the voice of JARVIS in all three Iron Man movies as well as The Avengers, and given Ultron€™s technological-based abilities and use of Tony€™s armor in the trailer, seems likely that JARVIS is uploaded into the Vision. Possibly by Ultron to battle the Avengers, or possibly by Tony in a last-ditch effort to stop Ultron. The Vision was created by Ultron in the comics to destroy the Avengers. Ultron used two elements from Marvel€™s past in the construction of the Vision€”for the body, he used the inert body of Jim Hammond, the Golden Age Human Torch and a synthetic human. And for the mind, he used the recorded brainwaves of Wonder Man, who was also created to destroy the Avengers by Baron Zemo, but died trying to save the heroes (both the Human Torch and Wonder Man got better). Unfortunately we probably won€™t be seeing Wonder Man in this film. But one surprise we hope we€™ll see regards a background moment from Captain America: The First Avenger. At the World€™s Fair, there was a blink-and-you€™ll-miss-it cameo of Jim Hammond as one of the exhibits titled €œTHE SYNTHETIC MAN.€ Could we see that synthetic man appear as the basis for the Vision€™s creation? We sure hope so!
