Andy Nyman and Jeremy Dyson adapt their acclaimed stage play to the big screen with this atmospheric, slow-burn horror anthology where you're honestly better off knowing as little as possible going in.

Generally favouring quiet suspense over genre schlock, Ghost Stories is propelled forward by strong performances from Nyman, Martin Freeman, Alex Lawther and Paul Whitehouse, and some clever third-act plot twists sure to catch viewers off-guard.

It's also expertly tonally balanced, unafraid to mine laughs from its increasingly absurd situations, yet never allowing this to get in the way of the film's genuinely disturbing tenor.

Don't watch the trailer, don't read anything else about it: just watch it.
