This charming 1980 spy comedy is barely remembered today, despite a surprisingly tight script that still holds up almost 25 years later. Hopscotch features a secret agent that has recently been forced into a desk job by the CIA and has chosen to expose the inner workings of his agency and the KGB in response. Walter Matthau is fantastic in his starring role of renegade agent Miles Kendig, thanks to his perfect comic timing and believability as a spy due to earlier action-orientated roles in Charley Varrick and The Taking of Pelham One Two Three. There aren't enough good spy comedy films in the world, and Hopscotch is a must-see for anyone with even the slightest interest in the sub-genre. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=naQO14SnbUc
