9. Skye's True Identity
S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Skyes true origins are still a mystery. She has, however, been described as an 0-8-4 (the name given to objects of unknown origin by S.H.I.E.L.D.) which suggests there could be more to her than meets the eye - not that anything strange has manifested yet. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season one came to a climax with Skyes father appearing partially on screen (a dripping bloody hand was seen only) and we still dont know exactly who or what he or Skye really are. As a result - and as you would expect - there have been a number of fan theories regarding Skye's true identity. These include She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Phyla-Vell, Spider-Woman and Mantis and, if any of those bigger names turn out to be who Skye really is, theres every chance she could become a big player in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That said, she may end up with the happy ending that she wants and just end up being a normal person - who knows!?
