10 Awesome Fan Theories That Improve Marvel Cinematic Universe

8. Red Skull Isn't Dead

Although this isn't exactly a little-known fan theory - and may actually turn out to be true - a number of fans believe that the Red Skull didn't actually meet his demise at the end of Captain America: The First Avenger and was simply sent to the far ends of the universe by the energies of the Tesseract. The energy effect shown when he disappeared were very similar to those that were seen when Thor used the Tesseract to take Loki back to Asgard in the Avengers movie, or when the Bifrost transports people across space, and a portal in to deep space was clearly visible prior to the Red Skull disappearing (seriously, why would that open if Red Skull was being destroyed?). So, this had led some people to believe that he is gathering an alien army and could well launch an assault on the Marvel Cinematic Universe's heroes in a future movie - perhaps even leading a "Siege" arc style attack on Asgard in the role taken by Norman Osborn in the comics.
