9. Norman Osborn Will Return (The Amazing Spider-Man Franchise)

It's fairly well-known that there are deleted scenes from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in which the cryogenically frozen head of the deceased Norman Osborn can be seen stored in an Oscorp facility. It was bitterly disappointing when he died, for a couple of reasons - the first being that Norman Osborn is an essential part of Spider-Man lore, and the second being that it seemed like such a waste of a talented actor in Chris Cooper. But fans have speculated that he will return. The fact that his head appears to be stored has spawned two theories - one being that he will return as a cyborg, with Oscorp technology making him a more mechanical version of the Green Goblin, and another being that the perfected serum that Curt Connors used to regrow his limb and, inadvertently, become the Lizard, will be used to regrow Norman's entire body.
