8. REC REC is another Spanish horror and has thus far spawned two sequels, with a third, entitled REC: Apocalypse due out next year. This 2007 horror follows a group of survivors as they try to stave off a zombie-style viral infection that is turning the affected into murderous savages. It was filmed using shaky camerawork and centred on Angela, a TV reporter, who interviews one of the residents of a building they are trapped in after it was sealed off by the military to contain an infected elderly lady who is biting all of those inside... REC becomes a battle for survival as the virus mutates, and even household pets end up as carriers for the virus, biting those that come across its path. There is plenty of gore and bloodlust, and in the end, no one gets out alive.
