10 Awesome Horror Movie Villains With Stupid One Weakness

5. Dracula May Be Enticing, But You Can Take Him Out In His Sleep

It's hard to pick a favourite Dracula. So many great actors, from Legosi'to Jack Palance, have taken on the role to various success. This writer's personal favourite, Christopher Lee, played the role for Hammer Productions for decades and always brought gravitas, empathy and an eerie charisma to the legendary vampire that's difficult not to be drawn toward. It's understandable that women would flock to him as legion, serving out his will and welcoming his transformative bite.

But as author Bram Stoker wrote him, Dracula has numerous weaknesses, the easiest and most exploitable being direct exposure to sunlight. However, in many films, he slumbers in a coffin during the daylight hours, awaking at nightfall to feed. And, in many films, it appears Dracula is on some heavy-duty Ambien, because even after our protagonists uncover his coffin, not even the racket they make unnailing it or unsealing it with hammers and steaks doesn't appear to wake him. When they finally get it open, he's still in a peaceful rest.

It doesn't take much to drive a wooden stake through the heart of someone in a vegetative state.

Kenny Hedges is carbon-based. So I suppose a simple top 5 in no order will do: Halloween, Crimes and Misdemeanors, L.A. Confidential, Billy Liar, Blow Out He has his own website - thefilmreal.com - and is always looking for new writers with differing views to broaden the discussion.
