10 Awesome Horror Villains Trapped In TERRIBLE Movies
4. Zeus - Army Of The Dead
Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead is a big ol' mess of a zombie flick - ambitious, well-cast, and yet largely quite forgettable.
With its generic script, mixed bag of characters, excess of slow-motion, ugly cinematography, and excessive 148-minute runtime, this was a patience-tester for all but Snyder's most die-hard acolytes.
The villain sure was cool, though. The film's primary antagonist is Zeus, the hulking, brutal leader of the intelligent zombies known as the Alphas, who is effectively the de facto king of the undead.
For starters, the guy is basically the most roided-up zombie of all time - extremely strong but also shockingly fast for his size.
And on top of this, he rides an undead horse, and in possibly the smartest act of self-preservation ever enacted by a zombie, he even wears a metal mask to protect himself from headshots.
Between all this and his unexpected ability to get his zombie queen pregnant, Zeus is quite unlike any flesh-eating ghoul we've ever seen in the genre before. Shame about the rest of the movie, though.
