7. Inflatable Balls (Because Why Not?) - Hot Tub Time Machine 2
Paramount could apparently only afford to pay for a 15-second TV spot for upcoming sequel Hot Tub Time Machine 2, but they certainly made the most of it, making numerous references to the Super Bowl itself, such as Patriot Lou being tied to the New England Patriots ("If you're gonna take out the Patriots..."). After Craig Robinson lets loose with the one-liner that Lou "looks like Captain Crunch had sex with Paul Revere", the trailer shows Adam Scott's testicles being re-inflated, as the narrator warns, "make sure their balls are fully inflated", a blatant reference to the "Deflategate" controversy that has hounded the Patriots in recent weeks. If anyone was worried that this amusingly unnecessary sequel would risk being a bland retread of the original, it seems like they're going all out to prove that this isn't the case. Hopefully inflatable balls are just the first of many futuristic enhancements that the movie has to offer.
