10 Awesome Moments From The Lego Movie

5. "Spaceship!"

One character I didn't expect to warm to so much was Benny, initially referred to as the "1980-something space guy", and voiced brilliantly by Charlie Day. As you can see above, the decal on Benny's shirt has been worn away and his helmet even has a crack in it, just as a 30-year-old Lego likely would, as clear a sign as any of the ridiculous attention to detail in this movie. Benny is obsessed with building a spaceship, and after several of his attempts are vetoed at the last minute, he finally gets to build one near the end of the movie. This results in Benny going manic, shouting "Spaceship!" at every possible opportunity as the ship zooms around, in what is easily one of the most hilarious moments in the movie. I was particularly tickled when he broke up the "Middle Zealand" lettering while screaming at the top of his lungs.
