10 Awesome Movie Characters Everybody Forgot Was Recast

8. Victoria - Twilight Franchise

Iron Man Terrence Howard
Summit Entertainment

In the first Twilight film and Twilight New Moon, the role of the evil vampire Victoria was played by Rachelle Lefevre. Locking in a franchise like Twilight was certainly a big win for the actress, but for those who've seen the third installment, Eclipse, Victoria may have looked a little different.

Bryce Dallas Howard came on board to portray Victoria for the third film thanks to Lefevre' being otherwise engaged. Thanks to signing on for Paul Giamatti's comedy, Barney's Version, the actress was unable to come back to the franchise to film her part.

This was one of those situations where an actor had to be replaced for something as mundane as a scheduling conflict. Originally, Barney's Version was scheduled to film during the time between the shooting schedule for New Moon and Eclipse, but movies get delayed, problems arise, and things rarely go as planned.

That's not uncommon in Hollywood, but it ended up costing Lefevre quite a bit seeing as she lost out on continuing with the franchise. For Howard, playing Victoria gave her career a boost, and helped her to eventually land the Jurassic World franchise.
