1. Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi - Death Star Explodes
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQdDRrcAOjA It's an argument that Kevin Smith crowbarred open with his superb 1994 indie comedy Clerks, that the second Death Star was still under construction during Return of the Jedi when the rebels blew it to pieces (again), and given that the Imperials certainly wouldn't have had the man-power or skill set to build a ship themselves, they would have had to recruit independent contractors. Now, assuming that Darth Vader hadn't for some reason given them all a day-off on the off-chance things might get hairy, it's fair to assume that hundreds, if not thousands of construction workers were summarily blown to pieces along with the real bad guys on the Death Star. Sure, the above clip argues that personal ethics should play into the jobs independent contractors take, but that does little to dispel the fact that the rebels likely murdered countless relatively innocent human beings. Which of these bothers you the most? Let us know in the comments below.
