10 Awesome Movie & TV Gadgets That You Can Buy In Real Life

7. The Hobbit Bow And Arrow

The Hobbit Tauriel

What better way to celebrate the release of The Desolation of Smaug by owning one of the iconic weapons in the film? Available online, Tauriel's archery set is undoubtedly the best of the plethora of Hobbit replicas about. It was designed, produced and finished using the same techniques as the film props - it has to be said, this is a high quality piece of movie merchandise if ever there was one. The drawbacks lie in the fact that it is definitely a piece that intended for display purposes only. The manufacturers guide states that drawing back the string or using it as a weapon could break the bow. While this may happily dissuade the more murderous amongst you, it seems a shame to pay £400 for an item such as this and have to forever fight the temptation to pull back that string.

I am a freelance writer, currently residing in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. I was raised by wolves in the woodlands of Northumberland, but am still posher than Colin Firth having dinner with The Queen. I write all of my pieces by swallowing a cocktail of scrabble tiles and vodka, then regurgitating them over my jotter. Hope this explains the typos.
