6. Electric DeLorean DMCEV
One of the greatest cars in the history of cinema (though it was a flop upon actual real world release), most people will admit that they have always dreamed about owning a DeLorean. Thanks very much, Back to the Future. Anyway, for those of you who have £70,000 burning a hole in your pocket, you can genuinely make those dreams into a reality. But what do you get for your money? Well, it may be battery-powered, but it packs a punch with 260 horsepower thanks to its AC induction liquid cooled electric motor pack. It can reach a top speed of 125mph and goes from 0-60 in 4.9 seconds. The battery will in fact take you 100 miles in between charges and a full electron tank will only cost you about £1.50, working out at around 1p per 100 mile (keep this one quiet before British Gas catch on). It also features a stainless steel body, gull wing doors, an illuminated rear engine, a leather look interior, built in GPS and an iPhone dock, making it both a cool ride... and a cheap one! The main reason for wanting to own this? It's a DeLorean! While we would always advocate sticking to the speed limit and driving sensibly, wouldn't part of you be intrigued to find out what would happen when you hit 88mph?
