10 Awesome Movie Villains That Had Totally Lame Deaths

7. The Beast - Glass

Emperor Death Star Wars
Disney

When the closing moments of Split revealed its true identity as a sequel to Unbreakable, the fans went nuts. This was a masterstroke from a director who had been conspicuously lacking in masterstrokes for a few years.

As the sequel Glass hit cinemas in 2019, all eyes were on the big three way rumble that was coming, with Mr. Glass (Samuel L Jackson) in one corner, David Dunn AKA The Overseer (Bruce Willis) in another and James McAvoy's compelling and extremely buff Horde in the last. Or is it The Beast? Or Patricia? And let's not forget Polly.

After three movies and a 19-year wait to see Dunn open up a serious can of whoop-ass Bruce Willis style, the result was, well, lame. After alluding to what could have been an epic skyscraper confrontation, the three 'super' beings resort to a dust up in a car park. McAvoy looks seriously ready to go and has the ability to leap across the car park like a weird gazelle, right into the Overseer, who by this point just looks like what he is - an old man in a mac.

The punch up doesn't last long and despite all that hype, the fight results in The Beast being shot by the cops. He dies in the arms of Anya Taylor-Joy. Totally lame but there are worse ways to go...
