10 Awesome Retro Cartoons That Need Their Own Movies

5. Denver, The Last Dinosaur

This 1988 cartoon saw the eponymous Denver, a Corythosaurus released from his egg by a group of multicultural, modern Californian teens. He learnt to skateboard, because that was popular in the late 80s. So a modern version probably sees a group of teens teaching Denver the finer points of sexting and selfies. Or a Michael Bay version where Denver realises he€™s a Dinosaur and proceeds to wreak havoc in a Californian city. It€™s a film that€™s been done a thousand times, the fish out of water learns a new culture and comedy ensues, though we all know Dinosaurs aren€™t fish, so surely this could be amazingly unique. The TV show also featured a catchy little theme tune which could play over the end credits, more than likely covered by one of the film€™s young stars.
