8. Darth Maul Duel - Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace

I don't need to tell you how awful George Lucas' hugely-anticipated Star Wars prequel was, yet in spite of that, it did demonstrate some sure ingenuity late in the day, as Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan faced off against the villainous Darth Maul in an epic 2-on-1 battle. Maul had been built up as a badass, ruthless adversary for the entire film, and for most of this scene, that certainly appeared to be the case. It was cool seeing Qui-Gon meet his end at the hands of the Maul, and the resulting showdown between Maul and Obi-Wan was similarly a lot of fun to watch, though it is admittedly a massive shame that Maul had to be killed off in such a dismissive, perfunctory fashion. It sort of diminishes how fearsome he seemed at the outset.
