10 Awesome Sequel Characters Who Totally Stole The Show

1. The Joker - The Dark Knight

joker-dark-knight-rises Much like the recent Ben Affleck Batman casting, there was a lot of concern surrounding Heath Ledger's appointment as The Joker for The Dark Knight, though he proved every doubter wrong with his unforgettable, posthumously Oscar-winning performance as the Caped Crusader's most famous enemy. Combining a grungy, less-campy style of dress and make-up with a distinctly more contemporary, gritty mindset to mayhem - this Joker is a terrorist, not a silly prancer - Ledger fashioned a Joker who stole the show away from Batman, and is easily the best thing in an already sublime movie. Best Moment: It's easy to pick the pencil trick from the start of the film, but the most chilling scene has to be when The Joker has kidnapped a Batman impersonator and, while filming the whole thing, shouts "Look at me!" in a monstrously deep voice, something which caused gasps in my first screening of the film, a moment that I'll never forget. Besides, who thought that Ledger had lungs like that? Which sequel character is your own favourite? Let us know in the comments below.
