10 Awesome Sequel Characters Who Totally Stole The Show

8. Catwoman - Batman Returns

Catwoman Anne Hathaway may have delivered, to many, the definitive portrayal of Selina Kyle aka Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises, but it's difficult to discount the more show-stealing appeal of Michelle Pfeiffer's volcanic performance in Tim Burton's Batman Returns. Though campier than the Catwoman in Nolan's film, it is totally in line tonally with what we saw in Burton's first Batman, and given that this is a film in which the Penguin rides a rubber duck through a sewer, and there are penguins with rockets strapped to their backs, a PVC-clad feline-like woman is really one of the last things to complain about. Best Moment: The first time we meet Catwoman, and not only get to see Michelle Pfeiffer workin' it in that figure-hugging leather, but also get to hear that distinctively drawn-out, seductively sexy Catwoman voice. Sinfully, a Pfeiffer-starring Catwoman movie was planned, but it languished around in development, and eventually led to the horrendously Halle Berry-starring one.
