10 Awesome Sequel Characters Who Totally Stole The Show

4. Jessie - Toy Story 2

Toy Story 2 Jesse made her debut in Toy Story 2, essentially as a female version of Woody - no doubt in an attempt to interest more girls in the movie - but her character is so much more than that. She is entirely aware of her own lineage on the show Woody's Roundup - along with Woody, Stinky Pete and noble steed Bullseye - and helps Woody realise this fact. Though she is initially excited about heading to the toy museum in Japan, what she really needs is a new family that can fix her emotional scars... Best Moment: The devastating "When She Loved Me" montage, where it's revealed that her previous owner abandoned her, and she has since become withdrawn and somewhat embittered as a result. This not only ensured that Jesse was the beating heart of the franchise from here on in, but it made her quest all the more powerful.
