10 Awesome Star Wars Accessories We Want To Own Real-Life

8. Lightsabers

star wars I, and I'm sure any other Star Wars fan would agree that the lightsaber is the most iconic Star Wars accessory. After all it is the signature weapon of the Jedi order and their Sith opponents; consisting of a polished metal handle/hilt which when pressed projects a blade of plasma, and standing at roughly about 4 ft long. The toys, no matter how realistic they were or how expensive, never quite lived up to the real thing, even when they lit up and made more pathetic noises than you could with your own vocal chords. My lightsaber of choice would always be the double sided version used by Darth Maul, who in my opinion was and still is the most bad-ass looking villain ever. Luckily my friends favoured the blue and green lightsaber which made re-enacting the final confrontation in The Phantom Menace a lot easier. I never quite understood why Count Dooku€™s lightsaber was bent. What possible purpose could that ever count towards? Sure it gave his character something unique, but it was Christopher Lee, what else could that man need to seem more evil? A weapon that goes off at a slight angle probably wasn't the best choice. One debate that frequently came up and caused controversy, at least among my friends, was one that asks "does the number of sabers mean they are more dangerous?" It is an argument quickly dismissed when watching the films as you learn that a skilled Jedi with just one saber could eventually take out a double sided saber or a robot that fights with four, four for god€™s sake! Perhaps that explains why there are only single sabers in episodes four to six, did the Jedi's realise that less is more?
