10 Awesome Star Wars: Duel Of The Fates Moments We'll Never Get To See

Ever since Star Wars was first introduced in 1977, the lightsaber has become iconic within popular culture. Even those who have never watched the franchise would surely be aware of the chosen weapon of the Jedi. Since then however, the laser sword has evolved somewhat.

While generally the colours indicated good or evil, individual colours became synonymous with certain Jedi, like Mace Windu's purple saber. Then there is Darth Maul's badass double sided lightsaber, and Kylo Ren's crossguard lightsaber. These weapons lent some distinction to these characters.

The Duel of the Fates would have also given Rey her own unique weapon, and not at the very end of the film either. By combining together her lightsaber and her staff, the Jedi would have wielded a ridiculously cool, double ended hybrid weapon of sorts, very similar to that of Darth Maul, but in the blue of the Jedi.

Not only would this have looked incredible in action, and lent a new dimension to any fight scene she was a part of, it would have been another page in the legend of Rey. Not to mention another line of toys to rake in even more money for Disney.
