10 Awesome Star Wars: Duel Of The Fates Moments We'll Never Get To See

8. Luke Skywalker's Force Ghost

The first we would have seen Kylo Ren in the Duel of the Fates, he would have been far away on Mustafar.

While searching the desolate planet for the power he is after, the villain is followed and haunted by the force ghost of Luke Skywalker. Even in death, Ben Solo's uncle is still trying to pry his nephew away from the dark side, promising that he'd only find an empty tomb at the end of that particular path.

At the same time, Luke's force ghost is also on Koralev, overseeing the training of Rey, who is still far from the limits of her potential as a Jedi. We only really got a glimpse of Luke as Rey's teacher in the Last Jedi, but here this bond would have been developed and explored even further. This would have been such an interesting dynamic to see Luke so close to both Kylo and Rey at the same time, and the difference in his relationship between his former and current students.

Mark Hamill would have had a much larger role in the Duel of the Fates, still trying to convince Kylo to give up even as the former Ben Solo is fighting Rey at the conclusion of the movie. Even with the help of the force ghosts of Yoda and Obi-Wan, Luke is ultimately unsuccessful in this.
