8. Captain America: The Winter Soldier Debuts First Footage, Blows Fans Away
Captain America: The Winter Soldier has only a few days left of shooting next week, and so directors Anthony and Joe Russo showed up at the Con to show off some footage from the movie. Reports from the sizzle reel state that it shows off Cap arriving at the S.H.I.E.L.D., where we catch a glimpse of Frank Grillo's Crossbones, ahead of a fight breaking out in which Cap gets his ass handed to him. We also get to see Robert Redford's shady S.H.I.E.L.D. executive - who many believe will be a defector - Anthony Mackie's Falcon flying and shooting at the same time, Black Widow kicking ass, and Cap being manhandled by Sebastian Stan's Winter Soldier. The film reportedly takes place at least a year after The Avengers, and will see Cap teaming up with Black Widow for much of it. Marvel Studios honcho Kevin Feige meanwhile reiterated that The Winter Soldier would follow the famed comic book arc pretty closely, and overall, this panel - namely the footage - seemed to go down gangbusters with the enthusiastic audience.
