10 Awesome Things We Learned From Comic Con 2013

2. The Avengers 2 Will Be Named 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'

Avengers: Age of Ultron Easily the most anticipated comic book film in the foreseeable future, The Avengers 2 has had its full title finally announced as Avengers: Age of Ultron, complete with a fancy new logo, pictured above. Ultron, of course, refers to the name of the film's villain, who is one of the Avengers' most iconic foes, a robot who not only possesses superhuman levels of strength and speed, but is able to blast his enemies into death-like comas and even control their minds. This confirms rumours that Thanos will not be appearing in the movie as the main villain, instead likely being relegated for The Avengers 3 (and also appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy in some form). This is a smart move on the part of Joss Whedon and co; after all, if Ultron were to follow Thanos, it would likely result in a massive anti-climax. This way, we get to logically build towards the most fearsome enemy of all.
