1. Zack Snyder To Direct Superman & Batman Crossover
No announcement at this year's Comic-Con was met with as much surprise and rabid fanfare as the news from Zack Snyder that a Man of Steel sequel is on the way, but not by any conventional means whatsoever; instead, Man of Steel 2 will be a crossover project between Batman and Superman, one which will reportedly feature the pair facing off against one another somehow. Writer David S. Goyer and producer Christopher Nolan will both be returning for the film, the details of which will likely remain sketchy for a while, as the trio work out how the continuity of Nolan's Batman films will tie into Superman's new re-tooled debut. My only worry is that the film will end up being maddeningly predictable; the pair will spend the first half of the film at odds, then obviously team up to take down a grander evil. The role of Batman remains uncast as Christian Bale has turned down the offer to return, though it will be interesting to see if Joseph Gordon-Levitt is next in line to wear the cowl...
