10 Awesome Trailers That Disguised Utterly Awful Films

1. Max Payne

Max PayneThe Trailer: Max Payne is arguably the most deserving video game franchise in existence deserving of some Hollywood treatment. The story is already there leaving a director to just frame some John Woo inspired action around it. Even with questionable casting and changes though the trailer made the movie look epic. Whoever decided to set the shootouts and various money shots to Marilyn Manson€™s €œIf I Was Your Vampire€ is a decision making genius. I went in cautiously optimistic but pumped for some slow motion practiced with bravado action. Why It Is Terrible: The entire story was butchered into pieces resembling a glimmer of the video game. That glimmer was the two quick shootouts throughout a two hour film. I don€™t blame Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, or anyone else involved, just John Moore for desecrating what is one of the greatest video games in existence. Dear Hollywood- If you€™re going to adapt not just a game, but anything hailed for its story, DO NOT CHANGE IT because chances are you do not know what the f*** you are doing. OK, I am done ranting.
