10 Awesome Trailers That Disguised Utterly Awful Films

7. The Hangover 3

The Hangover Part IIIThe Trailer: It isn€™t a common opinion but I have no shame in admitting that carbon copy and all, I laughed my ass off watching Part 2. After hearing that Todd Phillips was going to take the criticism and do something different with Part 3, I was still excited. Then the trailer came out showing off the new direction or formula of the story which looked like a comedic crime thriller similar to the recently released Seven Psychopaths which I adored. Some of the jokes (Chow€™s singing of €œI Believe I Can Fly€ while paragliding, followed by emphatically yelling €œI love cocaine€ were also hilarious and a personal promising indication of what I would get out of the trilogy finale. Why It Is Terrible: The plot is just painfully boring and a weaker attempt at something in the vein of the aforementioned Seven Psychopaths. Casting John Goodman as a villain and wasting his presence was also very deflating. Furthermore it also was not very funny as the trailer gave away the best parts.
