10 Awesome Trailers That Disguised Utterly Awful Films

6. Spider-Man 3

SpidermanThe Trailer: Sam Raimi€™s third entry into his already critically and commercially acclaimed adaptation of the lanky superhero with web powers promised to go big, bringing in the iconic antagonist Venom. Even glimpses of other spectacular action sequences were shown with Sandman and Harry Osborn taking up his father€™s mantle. Why It Is Terrible: Sam Raimi may be one versatile and talented director but Sony€™s crushing pressure to include Venom collided with the flow of the narrative. Spider-Man 3 is a mess featuring too many plot points, villains, and an unintentionally humorous emo Peter Parker. Even the action sequences ended up forgettable and full of wasted potential. Ultimately though it just failed from cramming too much into 2 hours, allowing none of the films ideas to stand out.
