10 Awful 2015 Movies That Deserved To Bomb At The Box Office

8. Pan

Budget: $150 million Box Office: $126.9 million (84.6%) Because 2003's $130 million Peter Pan movie didn't make its budget back, surely the only sensible solution was to hurl an extra $20 million at it a decade later and see what happens, right? 2015's Pan is a textbook example of empty spectacle: yes, it's soaked in state-of-the-art CGI and boasts a strong cast, but there's zero soul to the adventure simply because we're never encouraged to care about any of the characters. Hugh Jackman tries his hardest to make things energetic and entertaining with his hammy performance, but he's barely able to raise even a smirk because the thing's so devoid of any wit, charm or discernible personality. It is blockbuster bloat personified, and so its failure is something to relish.
