10 Awful 2018 Horror Movies To Avoid This Halloween

3. Inside

A wildly unnecessary remake of the brilliant 2007 French horror film of the same name, this straight-to-VOD English-language retelling at least has a decent Rachel Nichols performance at its core, but otherwise it's a bland, needless attempt to cash-in on the more visceral original.

What takes the new Inside from merely mediocre to genuinely bad, then, is the third act, which diverts sharply from the bleak original ending, instead opting for something far sillier and more hopeful (and yes, more Hollywood).

Lacking both the original's unrelenting atmosphere and its squirm-inducing brutality, Inside 2018 is yet another bungled Hollywood cash-in on a cult foreign hit. At least you won't have to try too hard to avoid it, but if you haven't seen the original yet, definitely check it out.
