10 Awful Films Prison Break Actors Want You To Forget
7. Wade Williams (Captain Brad Bellick) - The Darkest Minds
In The Darkest Minds, a virus wipes out the majority of children in the United States. The surviving kids develop unpredictable superpowers, forcing the government to detain them in an internment camp.
After a teenager escapes from her camp, she forms a rebellion to take down the authorities that unfairly jailed her and her peers.
Even though it sounds like The Darkest Minds is putting a creative spin on the superhero genre, it feels like a pastiche of other comic book properties like X-Men and Runaways. Instead of exploring characters, the film is too busy unsubtly teasing plot points for future instalments that'll never see the light of day.
If you were hoping Wade Williams would make the experience a bit more watchable, you'll be left disappointed. Despite proving he's got range in Prison Break as the corrupt corrections officer, Bellick, Williams has been cast as a generic no-nonsense officer in over a dozen projects (including Venom and The Dark Knight Rises).
Unfortunately, The Darkest Minds is no different. He plays such a stock character, you wonder why the filmmakers bothered casting such a talented actor.
