7. Battleship (Jesse Plemons)
Jesse Plemons, following his breakthrough role as Landry Clarke in Friday Night Lights, landed a spot on Breaking Bad's fifth season as sociopathic meth manufacturer Todd Alquist. His performance was praised by critics and fans and earned him more and more high profile work.
One of his first major film roles was in the sci-fi action Battleship, which was released the same year as his stint on Breaking Bad. This project proved to be quite a failure in comparison to the series however, as Plemons was relegated to providing comic relief in the poorly written, formulaic blockbuster that failed to impress critics or audiences and became a box-office disappointment. Plemons, along with the rest of Battleship's cast, was nominated for the Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Screen Ensemble.
