2. Tom Hardy (Alfie Solomons) - Capone

Josh Trank's FANT4STIC had one of the most calamitous cinematic productions in recent memory. With the film's atrocious reception as well as the chaotic behind-the-scene dramas, the young director's rep was in tatters.

But Trank hoped to redeem himself with his next project. Fonzo - which was later retitled as Capone.

Focusing on the life of Al "Scarface" Capone while he battled dementia and neurosyphilis, it sounded like a fresh-take on the infamous gangster. And with Tom Hardy in the title role, many people were expecting something bold and daring.

Instead, we got many scenes of Capone crapping his pants and Capone... crapping his pants again.

When you see the legendary criminal shooting people with a golden machine gun while smoking a carrot and wearing a full nappy, you have to remind yourself that this film was intended to be a drama. Hardy is very entertaining (even when you don't have a clue what he's saying) but the lack of a compelling narrative makes it fall apart.

Since Trank proudly announced Capone was the first film he made with zero studio interference, he gets the full blame for how badly it turned out.
