10 Awful Movies With Incredible Casts

1. Tiptoes

Dr Dolittle
Reality Check Productions

Cast: Gary Oldman, Matthew McConaughey, Kate Beckinsale, Peter Dinklage, Patricia Arquette.

Tiptoes sounds so ridiculous, you'd swear it was a sketch rather than a movie. The story kicks off with Steve confessing to his pregnant girlfriend, Carol, that he was born in a dwarf family, meaning their child will probably develop dwarfism. As Steve becomes more unstable, Carol falls for his dwarf brother, Rolfe.

As ridiculous as that premise sounds, it gets worse. For some reason, Rolfe is played by Gary Oldman. The 5' 8" Oscar-winner is a gifted performer but not even Oldman's acting can convince viewers he's 4ft tall!

In case you were wondering, there is no trick photography, CGI, or green-screen to make Oldman look smaller. Instead, he walks on his knees, which is so blatantly obvious, you can't take him seriously in any scene.

Upon hearing of Oldman's casting, many people wondered why the filmmakers didn't cast 4' 4" Emmy Award-winner, Peter Dinklage? Well, they did... but in a smaller role.

Hiring the most talented dwarf actor in a movie about dwarves, but NOT hiring him as the lead is so ridiculous, it's considered one of the most idiotic casting decisions in film history.
