Here's the thing. This character may be long gone from the land of the living in the current MCU timeline, but her death may just have opened the door for something truly game-changing.
In the MCU, Ellen Brandt was last seen attempting to get the better of Tony Stark in Iron Man 3. However, the Extremis-wielding foe of Iron Man soon met her end on the back of a makeshift microwave explosion.
Yet, this emphatic end for Brandt may have actually set the stage for another rather well-known Marvel character to make their long-awaited debut in the MCU.
Brandt was once married to Theodore Sallis at a young age. Sallis, as many will know, would go on to become the Man-Thing; a humanoid swamp monster, born out of a failed attempt to re-create the 'Super-Solider Serum'.
It's not too far outside of the realms of possibility to imagine that Sallis and Brandt could've been romantically involved before her demise in the MCU. And upon hearing about her passing at the hands of an Avenger, perhaps the Man-Thing will be on the lookout for revenge against Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
