4. Arnold Schwarzenegger As Mr. Freeze (Batman & Robin)
Of all the people Arnold Schwarzenegger could play from the world of comic books, and of all the people who could have played Mr. Freeze, matching the two together really does seem like a baffling idea thought up by an idiot. In the comics, Victor Fries is a genius in various sciences and an expert in cryogenics. After an accident, he puts his previously weak body in to a cryogenic suit in order to survive and it also grants him superhuman strength and durability. In addition to freeze guns and various other ice-based weapons, he becomes a physical threat as well as an intellectual threat to Batman. What he certainly isn't is a muscular European man with no discernible genius and a barrage of cheesy lines to throw around. Schwarzenegger seemed to know this character was a joke and he played it as such, so he can't really be blamed for the casting, but he never should have been given the role in a million years.
