8. Pranks (The Dorm That Dripped Blood) (1981)
Pranks is another one of the silly, cheap, lame and tame American made Video Nasties that have no real business being on the DPP 72 List. I think that it merely made the list on account of its video cover - a studded baseball bat and the tagline - When the kidding stops... The killing starts! Apparently a bunch of college students made Pranks. You can really discern this from the movie as it is very boring and features some really soporific dialogue. There is no attempt at character development and the plot is retarded. It is really 90 minutes of pure tedium. It is tame because the gore is crappy and mainly off screen. The music is horrible. The sweaters are horrible. The direction is horrible. One for Nasty purists only.
