5. The Snap Was Originally Going To Happen In Endgame
In some early drafts of the Infinity War script, the infamous snap was left out, the film instead ending with Thanos obtaining the final infinity stone.
The idea was to leave audiences wondering what would happen next, then have Endgame pick up directly after and see Thanos complete his plan. In an interview with The New York Times, Christopher Markus explained that "it would feel more like a cliffhanger than we intended", as him and his co-writer, Stephen McFeely, had always wanted the two movies to feel connected but still distinct in their own right.
Most would probably agree that the decision to have the snap in Infinity War was ultimately the right call, though it's nevertheless interesting to think how different the two movies could have been with such a small change.
