10 Behind-The-Scenes Stories That Will Change How You View Marvel Studios

8. The Man Who's Really In Charge...

From a creative standpoint, Kevin Feige is very much the man in charge of Marvel Studios. He entered the Marvel world working for producer Lauren Shuler Donner on X-Men in 2000, and has since helped to transform the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the highest grossing series of movies of all-time with a plan other studios are now scrambling to imitate. However, while he may be the Marvel Studios President, he reports to Ike Perlmutter, Marvel's reclusive and rarely photographed CEO. It's said that he attended the Iron Man premiere in disguise and has never been to one since, and while he sold Marvel to Disney for $4 billion, Perlmutter retains a huge amount of control in decisions about Marvel. Feige meanwhile is said to be completely loyal to the Marvel CEO, and the two work closely together to find the right direction for Marvel Studios both creatively and financially.
